FDA-approved EPIDIOLEX® (generic cannabidiol or CBD) is known to cause:
Liver damage (hepatic injury)
Somnolence and sedation
Suicidal behavior and ideation
Signs and symptoms of liver problems include:
loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting
fever, feeling unwell, unusual tiredness
yellowing of the skin or the whites of the eyes (jaundice)
itching
unusual darkening of the urine
right upper stomach area pain or discomfort
Patients are advised "not to drive or operate machinery until they have gained sufficient experience on EPIDIOLEX."
